Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Ltd, is proud to present this highly prestigious malt from its 'Rarest Collection' - a Caperdonich 50 year old single malt whisky from October 10th, 1969. Available globally, this limited release of 88 bottles comes from cask number 3253.
Caperdonich's conception dates back to 1898. Mothballed for around six decades, the production was re-established in 1965. An expansion of the distillery site then happened in 1967, but was closed for a final time in 2002. The bottles are all individually numbered and engraved alongside being kept in a stunning framed box and housed inside a brushed stainless steel carry case.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Antique bronze
Nose: Rich honeyed notes, fragrant hints of orchards in blossom. Beautifully malty and sweet. Walking through the fields of Speyside on a warm summer day.
Palate: Frothy Caramel Latte topped with cinnamon with a ginger snap baked with honey on the side. Mouth coating, intense and balanced.
Finish: Long lasting, soft gentle warm spices. Subtle notes sweet toasted oak notes round off the perfect structure.
