Diamond distillery in Guyana is one of the most storied rum-producing sites in the world — home to historic stills salvaged from closed plantations across the country, including the legendary Versailles wooden pot still. What comes out of Diamond is unlike rum made anywhere else on earth.
Distilled in 2004 and matured for 13 years, this single cask expression was carefully selected by the Duncan Taylor tasting panel and bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.7% — with no artificial coloring, no added flavoring, and no compromise. It is an authentic, unfiltered expression of what Guyanese rum can be at its finest.
Tasting Notes
Color: Soft gold
Nose: Smooth and mellow.
Palate: White chocolate, hints of pepper, golden syrup.
Finish: Sweet and gentle, with vanilla sponge cake.
How to Drink It
Neat: The recommended way — the white chocolate and golden syrup character is best experienced at full cask strength.
With Water: A few drops open up the vanilla and soften the pepper.
In Cocktails: The gentle sweetness makes a natural base for a Rum Old Fashioned or a classic Daiquiri.
