A limited single cask release from Duncan Taylor's acclaimed Octave series — a rare peated expression from Bunnahabhain, and the more intensely smoky of the two casks in this release.

Distilled in 2014 at Bunnahabhain and matured for 10 years, this Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was finished in Octave cask #3845523 — approximately one-eighth the size of a traditional butt. The smaller cask increases interaction between the whisky and the wood, adding richness, balance, and complexity while preserving the whisky's coastal, smoky character.

Bottled at its natural 54.3% cask strength with no chill filtration and no added color, this limited single cask release offers an authentic expression of both the distillery and Duncan Taylor's innovative Octave maturation.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sea salt, sweet peat, ashy, green pepper, black pepper.

Palate: Burning grass, smoked shellfish, bonfire embers, herbal, wet wood.

Finish: Long and intensely smoky, with lingering coastal brine, ash, and a slow herbal fade.
