Octave Invergordon 2009, 8 year old cask 5215213 @ 55.1%

Situated near Cromarty in the Highlands, Invergordon Distillery was established in 1959 and is now owned by Whyte & Mackay. It only produces grain whisky, most of which is used in Whyte & Mackay blended Scotch whisky brands. The distillery was also home to malt whisky brand Ben Wyvis from 1965 to 1977.

TASTING NOTES:

Nose: Luscious soft cane fruit smothered with caramel syrup. Some subtle light spices, cloves and cinnamon.

Taste: More cane fruit. Blackberries in syrup. Cadbury's fruit and nut chocolate with extra raisins. All rounded offwith a touch of white pepper.

Finish: Long, smooth and very warming. More creaminess develops to match the fruits.
